Artificial Intelligence Meets Art and Literature

In the simplest terms, artificial intelligence (AI) is a comprehensive technology that refers to systems or machines that replicate human intelligence to perform tasks and improve themselves in an iterative stream based on their data. The fundamental principle of artificial intelligence is to imitate and then transcend how humans perceive and respond to the world. Thus, it increases organizational performance and productivity by automating processes or tasks that previously required the workforce. At this point, artificial intelligence manifests itself in many forms. This technology, which provides extra ease of use in every sector such as tourism, health, finance, informatics, and education, does not only mean the integration of technology with technology but also is one of the critical digital transformation structures that can be integrated from technology to the fields of art and literature.

In this respect, Artificial Intelligence is in a position to provide various facilities to overcome difficulties such as image recognition and text analysis from self–healing autonomous databases using machine learning in the field of literature. For example, although artificial intelligence has become synonymous with other technological developments, a school in Italy introduced artificial intelligence to art and literature. In addition to this entrepreneurial school, the number of schools participating in this innovative trend continues to increase day by day, and educators are now starting to benefit from robots and textbooks at the same time.

In this direction, artificial intelligence was first used in the play “Henry VIII” by Shakespeare, an author who has an important place in literature. Because, in the researches made in recent years, the opinion that different writers helped in Shakespeare’s “Henry VIII” has emerged. Czech researcher PetrPlechac started to examine Shakespeare’s “Henry VIII” with artificial intelligence to see whether these views put forward in this direction have a grain of truth. As a result of his research, the information provided by artificial intelligence was recorded as follows. It was revealed that there are traces of John Fletcher in more than half of this work written by Shakespeare, and it also includes John Fletcher’s word choices. However, as claimed before, as a result of this research, it was reaffirmed that Philip Massinger did not contribute to this work.

In addition to this information, another surprising piece of information about artificial intelligence has emerged. It was determined by N. Gamze ILICAK and Kemal ÇİNKO that it is the only one of its kind and that there is a fairy tale called “Princess and Fox” created by artificial intelligence.

As can be understood here, artificial intelligence can create a much more comprehensive field than a digital structuring used in parallel with many technological developments. In addition, it has begun to be understood that artificial intelligence, from the automotive sector to marketing, from tourism to education, from finance to health and military fields, shows a development intertwined with art and literature. Finally, thanks to such studies, it has been understood that artificial intelligence is competent in many subjects such as text analysis.

This means that artificial intelligence is not just a formation in which technology is integrated into technology. In addition, it is a comprehensive technological development that can provide convenience in features such as art, literature, and language, accelerate their growth, and most importantly, provide valuable contributions to the literature with accurate results. In this case, it is a fact that artificial intelligence can help these areas with the internet of things, machine learning, and deep thinking methods.

Thanks to artificial intelligence, it seems that we will experience unexpected developments in new developments in literature and art, especially in text analysis and originality checks. Mainly thanks to the study of handwritten texts, it will be possible to reveal when the text was written, the date, and which it belongs to. In the same way, we do not doubt that awareness can be created in works of art with similar methods as in works of literature. It will make a name for itself as a technology that will feed both fields with the proper techniques and analyzes and develop a versatile solution planning. But of course, these are just thoughts for now. However, in time, all of them will come to life, and we will have the opportunity to witness all of these happen one by one in a short time.
