Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

Location: Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

Duration: 1 year onsite consulting (with potential for extension)

Job Overview:
As a Data Governance Specialist for the NDMO (National Data Management Office) Framework Phase One at aNumak & Company, you will play a pivotal role in developing a comprehensive data governance framework and related policies for our client in Jeddah, KSA. This position requires expertise in data governance principles and practices, along with the ability to provide consulting services for a one-year onsite engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust data governance framework tailored to meet the specific needs and objectives of the NDMO Framework Phase One project.
  • Define data governance policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish data governance roles, responsibilities, and accountability structures within the organization.
  • Conduct assessments to identify data management gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders on data governance best practices, tools, and techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the data governance framework and policies, and make recommendations for enhancements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations, including KSA National Data Management and Personal Data Protection Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance principles, standards, and best practices, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex data management challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
